I love Blankets Creek. There are an excellent selection of trails here. The Van Michael and Dwelling loops are some of my favorite trails in Georgia. Dwelling is the easier of the two, with some optional gravity trails about halfway through. These are fast, steep, and flowy and can be sessioned very easily with the attached climbing trail. Van Michael is also a lot of fun, but is more technically challenging. There’s an optional black diamond pass that I strongly recommend if it’s within your skill level. There are also more technical black diamond trails available from the main trailhead. Gnarnia is an absolute hoot. No mandatory drops or gaps, just really steep and narrow terrain. I don’t do many jumps, but the Holler is an expert level jump trail that is a lot of fun if you have the skills for it. Signage is clear throughout the trail system, and the trails have always been well maintained. There are direct ‘emergency access’ routes back to the parking lot. My only word of caution is that the green trail is a bit underwhelming. There is not a lot of “true beginner” mileage to be had here, but if you are comfortable doing 5-6 miles at a time you will love this trail system.
Jun 17, 2026 · Google ReviewI don't come here on a regular basis but I have been riding here quite a few times, as well as trail running ever more. Excellent place for both in my opinion. Everything is always very well maintained however, my most recent time here was for an even 5k trail run. I noticed a lot more trash on the ground at some of the picnic tables and various parts of the trails. I picked up a few things but obviously wasn't prepared to get all that I had saw. Overall great place to ride, run, and get out in the woods!
Sep 9, 2025 · Google ReviewThese trails are fast and flowing trails with enough variety for MTBer’s of every level. These trails are also used by runners and hikers but I have never seen any issue or conflict. Check out a couple of short videos I have added if you want to get a sense of the flow of a few trails.
Oct 23, 2025 · Google ReviewThis was an excellent hike. Well marked trails that are carefully laid out, with specific days for hikers/bikers on each trail, so that the chances of collisions are reduced. There are a lot of creeks and streams running throughout the trails. These are primarily bike trails, but hiking is welcome and dogs are welcome on leash. Several miles of beautiful wooded trails.

The trails are exceptionally well maintained thanks to the dedicated efforts of the local SORBA Woodstock volunteers, I am proud to support them - Are you a member of SORBA Woodstock?
