Lantern Festival (Etowah River Park)

Join us for a fun family event!  Never Alone Community Food Pantry is having its second annual Be the Light Lantern Parade and Festival on Saturday, November 4, 2023! The festival and parade will be a family-friendly event with a petting zoo, face painting, lantern-making, local food vendors, and much more! There will also be local celebrities and special guests at the festival to be held in Etowah River Park. This festival and parade is a fundraising event to help serve the surrounding community of Never Alone and fight food insecurity. Click the link to find out more about this organization, Never Alone. Veterans Parade (Downtown Canton)  FREE to attend

It’s a flag-waving patriotic parade to honor Veterans Day!  On Saturday, November 11, at 11 a.m., the American Legion Post 45 presents the Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Canton. Parking is available plus plenty of amazing restaurants to enjoy after the parade.  The community is welcome to line the streets in support of our military men and women.

The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta Tree Lighting Extravaganza (Woodstock)  FREE to attend

Watch out for the Grinch and stilt walkers at the festive Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta located in Woodstock, GA.  Saturday, November 11, 2023, kicks off the most wonderful time of the year.  The best hits and holiday tunes, games, ticket giveaways, prizes, and more will be provided by B98.5 and their team at this annual event.

The Outlet Shoppes will also pay tribute to our local Woodstock American Legion post in honor of Veteran’s Day.  Activities run from 3-7 p.m., with the tree lighting at 6 p.m. sharp.  The forecast calls for a 100% chance of the first snow of the season!  Be there to experience it!

Japanese Maple Color Fest at Gibbs Gardens

Peak color is beginning at Gibbs Gardens.  The Japanese Maple Color Fest runs from October into November and is rated the “Best Fall Color in Georgia”.  Stroll through the gardens, cross the bridges, and enjoy the sound of the many waterfalls.  It’s a great photo opportunity for the family and an outdoor adventure worth taking the time to experience.  Open Tuesday – Sunday, Gibbs has the Arbor Cafe for snacks, a beautiful gift shop, and over 3000 maples to view.  Plenty of space for the kids to romp and the family to relax.

Christmas at the Mill (Canton)

Winter Wonderland comes to Cherokee County on November 24th and 25th, and Christmas at The Mill on Etowah!  There will be fun for the whole family with 200+ craft vendors, Santa and Mrs. Claus, college football on the Big Screen, ice skating at The Rink, food, and much more! The festivities begin at 10 a.m. and go on until 9 p.m. both days, with a Tree Lighting on Saturday at 7 p.m.  The surrounding shops and restaurants will be open for a complete holiday experience.

BONUS:  Love Lights a Tree (Canton)

After a 3 year hiatus (due to Covid-19), the Love Lights a Tree festivities will return to downtown Canton, GA.  Attend the tree lighting on the Friday after Thanksgiving, November 24th at Cannon Park. There will be dancers, live music, activities for the kids and more.  Local vendors offer crafts, while the children can visit with Santa.  You might even get to meet the Chick-Fil-A Santa Cow! Ornaments for the tree can be purchased and donations made for the Love Lights a Tree celebration. All proceeds go to the Canton chapter of the American Cancer Society.  Festivities begin at 4:30 p.m.
